Climate Change Programs

We participate in the Environmental Protection Agency's Climate Leaders program, an industry-government partnership that works to reduce the emission of greenhouse gases. We also participate in the Carbon Disclosure Project, and our 2007 submission was awarded "Best in Class."

Energy Efficiency and Conservation

EMC is implementing initiatives and controls to minimize energy use at our facilities. We are also pursuing LEED certification for some of our owned facilities.

We take responsibility for minimizing the environmental impact of our products in our customers' data centers. We also implement best practices for energy efficiency in our own data centers.

Water Conservation

EMC has deployed state-of-the-art water conservation systems, including an on-site water-treatment facility that reclaims 100% of our campus water and recycles it for mechanical, cooling, and sanitary purposes.
